Mrs Poppy Jane Thekiso serves as the President of the Women’s Christian Association Assembly (WCAA) of the Presbyterian Church of Africa. She is widely respected for her dedication, humility, and strong Christian leadership.
Mrs Thekiso is the first-born daughter of Mr Qondani Ntlahla and the late Mrs Sarah Ntlahla. She was born and raised in the Free State, where her spiritual journey and commitment to serving God began at an early age.
Her ministry journey started while she was a member of the Young Women’s Association of the Free Ethiopian Church of Southern Africa, where she gradually grew as a devoted and God-fearing woman.
She later met and married Reverend DM Thekiso, and in the year 2000 she was robed as a Minister’s Wife by the late Monglkz TEM Mzamo, who was the President of the WCAA at the time.
Throughout her ministry life, Mrs Thekiso has faithfully served alongside her husband in various church circuits, including:

Her service within the church has extended to both the YWCA and the WCA at synod level, where she served with great dedication and humility.
Because of her leadership ability and commitment to the work of God, she was elected to serve in several key positions within the WCAA, including:

Vice President
After serving diligently in these roles, she was elected to serve as the President of the WCAA.
Mrs Thekiso continues to lead the organization with faith, dignity, and a strong commitment to the mission of the church.

“As I embark on this new journey, I trust the Lord Almighty to guide me and the WCAA office as we focus on the mission of our association which is:
‘Ukuzama ukwakha nokuphakamisa umsebenzi kaThixo ngendlela zonke zaseLizwini.’I thank all WCAA members for the trust they have placed in me and in this office. Together we must work hand in hand to take our association to greater heights.

To glorify God through prayerfully planned activities and events for women in our church and communities promoting spiritual growth and nurture fellowship with each other. To build an inclusive, caring community of women, who through prayer, God’s word, love and wisdom of shared values, transform marriages and homes for God’s glory.
